A full century of Hamel baseball, honoring the players, volunteers, families, and fans who built the program and kept local baseball at the heart of the community.
The 100-Year Baseball Celebration brings past and present together in a true community gathering. Former players will reconnect, current teams will take the field, families will gather, and generations of Hawks supporters will honor the tradition rooted in the Hamel Athletic Club.
Throughout the weekend, guests can expect recognition moments, historical displays, special appearances, concessions, and the shared atmosphere that has made Hamel baseball part of the area's identity for 100 years.
Saturday, June 27
Hamel VFW
Relax, enjoy the music, and connect with generations of Hawks players and supporters. Concession stand food, beverages, and alcohol will be available on site.
Sunday, June 28
Paul Fortin Memorial Field
The pregame ceremony will honor the 1975 Hawks First State Tournament team, the State Championship teams from 1987-1993 and 1997, announce the 2026 Hawks Hall of Fame inductees, recognize First Pitch Honorees, and include a Colors presentation by the Hamel Honor Color Guard with the National Anthem.
Connie Fortin will share remarks honoring her grandfather, Paul Fortin, along with the three generations of the Fortin family and their lasting impact on the Hamel baseball program.
Food and drink concessions will be available throughout the celebration on both Saturday and Sunday, making it easy to stay, socialize, and enjoy the full weekend.
